3d3r’s Bubbles is a free Windows application that allows users to convert & use their favorite web services such as Webmail (GMail, Yahoo), Flickr, etc from their taskbar as if they were locally installed programs/application on the desktop computer.

It does this using a JavaScript engine by allowing users to add drag and drop shortcut menus to various corresponding functions in the web service [such as uploading a file, viewing the online calendar in a specific view,etc] in the system tray. You can also interactivity to these applications by introducing notifications (such as for new email).

Below is an example of using Google GMail’s calendar in Weekly or Monthly View with an option to add events or go directly to the settings of your calendar.
