A new beta version of AOL Mobile Search Beta is available which is optimized for Windows Mobile based Pocket PC and Smartphone Devices.

This enhanced version of AOL Mobile Search displays more items per page on a Windows Mobile device since they tend to have a larger screen resolution. Secondly, all content relevant to the search term is displayed on one page in the form of Tabs making navigation easier and efficient. For example, if you search for Starbucks, you will get all Starbucks stores located in your area in the Local Tab, stock quote of Starbucks (SBUX ) in the Finance tab and the latest news from the company in the News tab.

Another new feature as per Gigaom is the Click2Call functionality that allows a user to highlight or tap a phone number listed in the search result and make a phone call to the business owner.
