Returnil Virtual System 2007 is a free application for Windows XP and Vista that can clone a copy of your System Partition into the memory and create a file based Virtual Disk Partition where you can save documents, data, files & install programs, software and applications without affecting the host system. It is similiar to using a virtualization software such as VMWare or Virtual PC except that everything is done on the base PC without the need for installing another OS inside the virtual machine.

When the Returnil protection is ON, every change to the system partition actually takes place in the virtual memory. Therefore, all data and modifications will be lost after the computer reboots.

When the Returnil Protection is OFF, all changes in the system partition take place on the disk and remain even after a reboot.
