zetetic, the company behind Pingme shows you how to use Jott, a free Voice-enabled Speech to Text recording service, to create scheduled email reminders and SMS mobile alerts by calling a toll-free number from your phone.
Instructions:
1) Sign into Jott, go to the contacts tab and add your PingMe address (sent by Gopingme.com in the welcome email) called GoPingMe (or anything different than the default me)
2) Add Jott’s toll free number to your speed dial (optional)

3) Call up Jott’s toll free number and say GoPingMe when they prompt for whom you’d like to Jott
4) After the beep, speak the time at which you’d like to be sent the reminder/alert and the text to be sent along with it (complete syntax here or here)
In a few minutes, you will see a new ping in your account.

1Another mashup idea is voiceNotes for Backpack. Leave a audio recording that finds its way to your Backpack page. Give it a try for free at http://www.celltell.tv
