LongCuts is a freeware utility for Sony Ericsson UIQ3 mobile device that allows you to assign shortcuts to launch applications by pressing and holding keys on the QWERTY keypad of Sony Ericsson M6001, P990i or P1i. The application is being discussed as a breakthrough at Esato forum and can be downloaded as an unsigned version from here.

After Symbian signing and installing the application, launch LongCuts. Then press and hold the key on QWERTY keyboard to which you want to assign the shortcut until application name becomes dim. This implies that the software has been assigned to the designated key and can be launched using the keypad button.

Longcuts is marked as a system application while running, hence prevented from being closed by the system on low memory.
