Microsoft has released a new service pack version three (SP3) for Office 2003 and Outlook Live 2003. Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3) contains a lot of security enhancements and stability improvements and combines previously released service pack fixes and hotfixes into one update. It does not contain any new feature addition although some features such as fast save have been removed.

A Microsoft Excel workbook is available that contains a list of the Office 2003 post-Service Pack 2 issues that are fixed by Office 2003 SP3 and can be downloaded here. To read about known issues after installing Office 2003 SP3, read KB 923618.

You can get the update in four ways-

1) Windows Updates service
2) Office Updates service
3) Order a CD-ROM
4) Download from Web through Microsoft Download Center (Office2003SP3-kb923618-FullFile-enu.exe)

After you install this service pack, make sure you upgrade to the latest update for Outlook Live SP3 for Live Hotmail and MSN to work as expected.
