The mobile web browser scene is hotting up providing competition to Opera Mini. Last week I had covered Teashark, a new mobile browser that had introduced some nice features such as bookmark sync with PC, autocomplete, sliding between history and instant text search like Firefox. Now both have competetion in the form of UCWeb, a mobile browser made by a Chinese company.
UCWeb is a free Java J2ME based mobile browser for MIDP 2.0 compatible mobile devices such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG, Samsung, Siemens and Windows Mobile (with Java support). It supports some unique features such as an inbuilt email-client with webmail (Yahoo, Live Hotmail, GMail, AIM, etc) support, audio and video multimedia player, push SMS, offline content saving, clipboard, traffic statistics and multi-threaded download manager.
