Offfice Communicator Mobile 2007

Microsoft Office Communicator Mobile is an enterprise messaging client for Windows Mobile devices that integrates instant messaging (IM), presence, and telephony with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007. A new version 2007 is now available for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 Pocket PCs and Smartphones.

Here are some of the new features of Communicator Mobile 2007:

+ Enhanced presence
+ Ability to include both users of Communicator and users of a public IM service provider (such as MSN or Yahoo!) in the same conversation
+ Instant messaging (IM) with distribution groups and presence for members of distribution groups
+ Ability to group contacts according to presence status
+ Ability to view members of a Distribution Group in your Contact List, if you added it using Office Communicator 2007 on your desktop

MPops (multiple points of presence) is a feature of Office Communications Server and Office Communicator 2007 wherein you can have multiple Communicator clients running simultaneously; for instance, on your work computer, your home computer, web access or your Windows mobile device. When you receive an invitation to a new conversation, the server determines the most appropriate devices to receive the request, so that you can accept the invitation on whatever device you are using at the time.
