Last week, Adobe had announced the availability of Flash Lite 3 for Nokia S60, Sony Ericsson UIQ, Windows Mobile and BREW mobile devices. Flash Lite 3 allows users to watch Flash Player compatible video, in FLV format, and browse Flash enabled Web sites when integrated with a mobile Web browser. Flash Lite 3 more closely replicates the desktop experience delivered by Adobe Flash Player 9.x on the PC.

Flash Lite 3 is not available as a separate download but will start shipping pre-installed on NTT DoCoMo and Nokia S60 devices later this year. Currently, you can request a preview of the developer edition of Flash Lite 3 for Nokia N95 by sending an e-mail to mobiledeveloper@adobe.com with the subject line “Request for FL3 Developer Edition.” You will need to include the IMEI number of your device in the e-mail. The IMEI number can be obtained by entering *#06# on the device. Last date for sending the request is October 16, 2007. Within three days, Adobe will send a Symbian-signed copy of the Flash Lite 3 SIS file custom built for your Nokia N95.
Update: Adobe Flash Lite 3 for Mobile Devices is available at Adobe Labs. Click here for more information.

12Can anyone tell me how to open a Flash (flv file) on a nokia, there doesnt seem to be an option to open files and the files them selves don’t seem to be associated with the player. Do I need to convert the flv files to the S60 OS.
Many Thanks

15update your phone firmware…and then you’ll have the web browser with built in flashlite 3 support. not this crappy developer edition which doesn’t even include a plugin for the web browser!! i.e not much use for you unless your a developer! (hence the “developer edition”, lol)
