Windows Vista and Windows Longhorn 2008 (which is currently in Beta) have been completely overhauled in appearance compared to Windows XP/2003. For example, Microsoft has introduced the AeroGlass theme which gives a transparent glassy interface to the title bar. While all this is good, Microsoft failed to replace icons, animations and images in standard dialog boxes and control panel applets throughout Windows Vista and kept them the same as previous versions of Windows OS- XP 2000 or 2003.

Vize GUI Enhancer is a freeware application in Beta that allows users to change such non-Vista images and icons to reflect the themautic changes of Vista and maintain consistency in the OS by patching the resources in system files that hold these old icons, animations and bitmaps. Vize changes about 78 system resource files.
