SimLife has released a new mobile adventure game called Lament Island for Nokia S60 3rd Edition mobile devices based on SIMENGINE to render realistic 3D effects in the gameplay. The unique feature about this game is it makes extensive use of your mobile phone’s in-built camera and microphone to solve puzzles and riddles during the course of the game making it very interactive. For example, a player can rhythmically knock the table to input Morse code, use the camera to shoot pictures with different colors to fill game title color, or puff into the microphone to blow off dust on the table in the game.
The storyline is based on Roy, the hero, who is an optimistic and adventurous college student. During a summer exploration, Roy gets caught in a storm and is sent to a deserted island. He wakes up to find a mysterious house on the island. He goes inside the house and gradually realizes that the house used to be the pirate’s nest, full of various intrigues and secrets. Although the pirates had died for years, there is still a mysterious invisible man inside the house indicated by ghosty footsteps at intervals and weeping sounds. What’s hiding in the castle? Ghost, curse, or an unspeakable story?
