Cloudmark has released a new beta version of its anti-spam and anti-phishing toolbar for Mozilla Thunderbird. Cloudmark uses its collaborative network of millions of its toolbar users to identify potential spam or phishing emails.
When a user clicks the Block Spam or Block Phish buttons, Cloudmark compares the message’s fingerprints with those of messages that other users have blocked as spam or phishing. If it matches, then similar messages are automatically blocked in the future, for all users in the network. Likewise, if a user drags a message out of the Spam folder or clicks the Unblock button, Cloudmark compares this message with that of other users and if it matches, the message is unblocked throughout the Cloudmark network.
Cloudmark Beta for Thunderbird is available for free during the testing phase and can be installed on Windows XP and Vista. Click here to sign up for the beta.
