Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a type of bio-signal that measures the electrical activity of the brain by recording from electrodes placed on the skin of a human body. This is sometimes also known as brainwaves. Here are two companies utilizing such technology to enable humans to control computers, mobile devices and video games using thoughts, expressions and emotions in the mind.

NeuroSky is a technology, reports MyTreo, that captures a person’s brainwave signals, eye movements, and other bio-signals via a patented Dry-Active sensor headset allowing users to control a computer or a mobile device with thoughts in the mind.
Brainwaves of different wavelengths indicate emotional states, such as awareness, anxiety, meditation, attention and drowsiness. NeuroSky headset-sensor measures the changes in the brain’s emotional state, then interprets and translates these bio-signals into electrical signals and processes the information on a computer or Mobile device.
Project Epoc from Emotiv is a technology that mainly concentrates on PC and Console video games. It consists of a headset that detects player thoughts, feelings and expression to control and interact inside games. It connects wirelessly with all gaming platforms from consoles to PCs and also supports a physical movement sensor that detects motion changes in the human body and reflects the same inside the video game.
