Wopzip is an excellent web based service that allows you to preview and uncompress a wide variety of compressed archives from the internet. The service really stands out if you want to preview, download and extract individual files from a huge ZIP, RAR, CHM, ISO or any other type of compressed archive directly from a web link/URL from a webserver before download (currently limited to 100MB).

For example, I entered the direct download link for an ISO [link:warning-more than 75MB] from Microsoft for January 2006 Security and Critical Releases ISO Image. Wopzip successfully displayed the contents of the ISO file and gave an option to download individual files from the image.

WopZip supports the following archive types for online preview and uncompression: 7z, ZIP, GZIP, TAR, BZIP2, RAR, CAB, ARJ, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB, LZH, SPLIT, CHM, ISO

Zopzip also allows you to upload files from your computer and uncompress it online which is useful only if you don’t have permission to install an uncompression utility on the computer. Otherwise it doesn’t make sense to upload a 100MB file and then re-download it.
