Yahoo Messenger blog is reporting that a new beta version of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 is available for download for Windows Vista with a redesigned look and some new features such as:
+ A completely new look for your contact list with two views: detailed view to see larger Avatar images or compact view. You can just hover and click to IM, SMS or call a friend.
+ Brand new skins and emoticons
+ New Flickr integration in the photo sharing feature: Share photos from Flickr with friends or save pictures shared by others to your Flickr account
+ 2GB File transfers and automatic scan with Symantec’s Norton anti-virus
+The new in-line media player allows you to embed and synchronously view maps, photos and videos in IM chat window with your IM contacts.
+ Forward incoming Phone In or PC VoIP calls to another phone number such as your mobile, home or office phone even if you’re signed out of Yahoo Messenger
This version has been designed for Windows Vista and can be used as a cross platform tool with the Windows Live MSN Messenger IM network.

1To be noted, this is NOT Yahoo! Messenger for Windows Vista (which using WPF) this is update version pior to Y!M 8.1.
