Zumobi, which stands for “Zooming Mobile User Interface”, is launching a beta version of their mobile browser for Windows Mobile 6, Blackberry and select Java J2ME mobile devices. Zumobi’s UI is based on a system of “tiles” that allow users to navigate in an out of bite-sized web content quickly and easily. A user’s “zoom space” can be customized to include personally relevant content like news, blogs, and third party services. These tiles can also be sent to other friends and groups that share the same interests.
Key highlights of Zumobi Beta include:

Offline browsing: Using an advanced background data caching technology, it possible for users to access content and information even when they are out of a cellular service coverage.
Personalize: Zumobi users can populate their personal zoom space with informative and custom-designed interactive Tiles of content
Design: Using an advanced adaptive user interface technologies, the Zumobi user experience adjusts to different devices and modalities: portrait, landscape, numeric keypad, touchscreen, mini-qwerty board, or traditional up/down/left/right navigational controls
