ihound software has launched an alpha version of their freeware application for Apple iPods, USB based MP3 Players or Flash drives and digital cameras that sends an alert to the owner via e-mail when their USB device is connected to a different computer other than the one it is configured for.

Key features of ihound include:
+ Constantly track your USB drive using ihound software’s Device Tracker which displays the location of your device on a map
+ The application can alert you via email as soon as someone else tries to connect your device to a computer.
+ Once your device has been located, you can print a report that contains your device’s information as well as the location where your device has been tracked.
ihound currently supports Windows 2000, XP and Vista computers only. Mac support is being upon and will hopefully be released soon. While in alpha mode, you can track upto three USB devices

1This is a complete rip-off of GadgetTrak, they even copied and pasted their text.
