Google has released a new sync client that natively integrates with Blackberry’s built-in calendar application and enables two way synchronization with an online Google Calendar. The software downloads Google Calendar events onto your BlackBerry, and uploads Calendar events from your smartphone to your online calendar (two-way synchronization over the air). You will also be alerted for upcoming appointments with sound or vibration.
Currently, sync is limited only to calendar events. All events that appear in your calendar within the sync window will be synchronized. And as part of each individual event, you’ll also see the following information:
+ Date, Time, Location and Notes
+ Available/Busy time setting
+ Reminder setting

To use Google Sync, you need to click the Google Sync icon on the home screen of your BlackBerry device. Alternatively you can open the calendar application on your BlackBerry and click the thumb wheel once to pop up the menu where you will find the “Google Sync” entry at the top of the menu.
You can also configure the interval for automatic sync process or opt for a manual sync. The Sync Period allows you to choose for how many weeks into the future you want Google Sync to sync events from where you can choose a setting from 4 to 24 weeks.
