As a part of its endeavour to help more users migrate from Internet Explorer to Firefox, Mozilla has launched a new live chat support service. The service is run by a group of select volunteers, and is currently open for a few hours a day. You can get answers to any Firefox related problem or feature. And if you consider yourself an expert, you can help others after getting your account approved by one of the support admins.

The service also offers some level of personalization, in which, after signing into your account, you can setup email notifications and view the transscript of questions you’d asked.

To get started:

+ You need to click the image on the right that says “We’re Open.” This is only displayed if some agent is logged into the help system.
+ A new window will open. Fill out as many of the fields as you can and click Start Chat.
+ When someone answers your question, the request window will change to show a chat field. You can continue chatting as you would in an IM conversation.
