Lastminute.com’s CoolGorilla Talking Phrasebooks are free J2ME applications for Nokia and Sony Ericsson Java mobile phones that help you to communicate in various foreign languages by providing voice based translations and accents. The software also differentiates between masculine and feminine genders accents wherever applicable.

To use the program, open the application, find the English phrase from one of the categories within the menu, click play, and a pre-recorded translation of that phrase will be palyed. All the translated phrases have been recorded by professional voice artists native to the relative country. Languages currently available are French, German, Italian, Spanish, Greek, and Portugese.

The phrasebooks contain 250-300 common phrases per language covering the following categories:
