All-Format Writer is a freeware electronic document writing application for Java J2ME-based mobile devices such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola. It allows you to create documents directly on your MIDP capable mobile phone in various electronic document formats that include the following:

+ OASIS’s OpenDocument Format (ODF)
+ Microsoft’s Office 2007 Word OpenXML Format (DOCX)
+ China’s national electronic document format Unified Office Format (UOF)
+ Adobe’s Portable Document Format (PDF).

You can write short notes and save it on the removable SD Card/Memory Stick in any of the supported document formats. These files can then be emailed or transferred via MMS, Bluetooth, Infrared & Wi-Fi to your PC or another cellphone and read with the respective viewer. If you create a PDF document, the name & model of the mobile device (e.g. Nokia n95) used to create the PDF file is also recorded in the document’s properties.

As this application writes files to the removable storage, user permission is required. On Nokia phones, the messages prompted will be “Allow application All-Format Writer to read user data?”, followed by “Allow application All-Format Writer to write user data?”.
On Sony Ericsson devices, the messages prompted will be “Allow application to read user data?” and then “Allow application to write user data?”.
Make sure you select “Yes” on all the prompts. Also, this application requires JSR 75 API (FileConnection) J2ME profile support on the mobile device.
