PSPKVM is a free Java J2ME Virtual Machine Emulator that enables users to run MIDP 2.0 compatible applications and games in JAR format, created using Java 2 Platform Micro Edition, on a Sony PlayStation Portable device. With the latest release, another J2ME/MIDP port, pspME, has been merged with the PSPKVM project to improve the quality of JVMs available for the PSP platform. Also, support has been added to play audio formats such as MIDI and WAVE.

To use the application, copy “PSPKVM” to the /PSP/GAME folder on the device. Then start PSPKVM and select a JAR file in the Memory stick to run. You can also select the model of the mobile phone with which the JAR file is compatible such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson or Motorola.
