TopOCR is a freeware multi-language Optical Character Recognition program for Windows desktop computers and mobile devices. It allows you to convert images captured through a scanner, digital camera or mobile phone camera into MP3 using text-to-speech or plain text in the PDF or HTML format. A Mobile OCR application for Smartphones is also in the works that has the ability to send text output to a web server to perform tasks such as text searching or translation. The user interface for TopOCR Mobile is implemented in standard HTML, CSS and Javascript.
