Wizi Beta is a free GPS location sharing and global traffic network software for Windows Mobile, Blackberry and Nokia S60 mobile phones. It combines unique location sharing features along with best route recommendations, obtained from Wizi’s innovative free traffic network. Based on TimeBI’s time prediction technology, Wizi tells you the time to arrive at a destination, recommending the best route based on a combination of real time and historical data about traffic conditions to avoid traffic jams and predict your travel time reliably when driving in the city
Here are some of this things you can do with WiZi Beta:
+ Know when family members leave work, or when they’ll arrive
+ Know what is the quickest route to get to your destination and also know the best time to leave so that you can avoid traffic jams in real-time
+ Know where your friends are before you call
+ Automatically inform your colleagues of delays, and your actual arrival time
+ Find out when team-members will arrive for the meeting without calling them
+ Know when to leave for an important event
+ Historic and real-time data merged to provide an accurate travel time prediction
The program utilizes GPS technology to fix your location in real time though there is an option to set your location manually using a map. You can also send direct messages to your contacts based on their current physical location.

1Hi, yeah, I’ve tested wizi for a couple of months and it’s quite fun. The only problem still lies in fixing your position with a GPS. Sometimes, it just isn’t handy enough. However, it’s really nice to see how social networks are going mobile! I’m following closely the wizi development, and I know they’ve recently launched an Android app for wizi. Quite cool, still haven’t tested it or seen it, though. Nice blog. Keep’em comin’!
Cheers
