3jam SuperText is a new service in beta that detects when you are at your computer and automatically routes incoming and outgoing mobile SMS text messages for free through your PC web browser.
The way the service works is to let you send text messages for free when you’re online at your PC instead of paying to send them via the carrier’s gateway. When the recipient gets a text message from you, it appears as a regular SMS sent from a cellphone, to which the user can reply normally. This message comes back to you on the web into a threaded inbox foe which you don’t have to pay. You can message like this from the web as long as you like.
Also, SuperText is intelligent in the sense that, if you close your web browser or step away from your PC, it recognizes inactivity and redirects SMS messages to your mobile phone automatically and your conversation keeps going. When you’re back online, you stop receiving text messages on your device and can pick up your conversation on the web browser, complete with your entire message history including text messages you sent from your mobile phone.
