NextBus is a free web and mobile service that allows you to view the status and arrival times of public transit and transportation systems such as buses, shuttles and streetcars by using real-time GPS satellite tracking combined with pattern based prediction.

Taking into account the actual position of the transit vehicles, their intended stops, and the typical traffic patterns, NextBus estimates the bus arrivals with a high degree of accuracy which is updated constantly. The accuracy of the predictions vary depending upon many factors including changes in traffic patterns, accidents, Internet traffic, etc.

NextBus will display the time the next transit vehicle will arrive at the stop you specify in only five steps. Simply select (1) your state, (2) your city / transit agency, (3) your route, and (4) your stop. If your stop is served by multiple routes then you will also be asked to specify (5) your destination stop so that the system can provide predictions for any other routes that serve the same stops.
