WeDict is a freeware dictionary application for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch with support for multiple languages and localizations. The dictionary files are compatible with Stardict’s .dict and .idx formats.
The collection of dictionaries include Oxford, Cambridge, Longman, Merriam-Webster, Britannica, MacMillan, Collins, Wikipedia, Thesaurus, CIA World Factbook and other bi-lingual dictionaries. You can also create your own dictionaries as well as search online dictionaries.
Key features of WeDict for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch include:

+ Search History
+ New Words List
+ Plug-ins to search dictionaries online
+ International localization
To download and install WeDict, add the installer source from here. Then you can download free dictionaries from the following sources: stardict, reciteword
After downloading a tarbal file, unzip it, rename .dict.dz to .dict.gz and unzip the .gz file again to a folder. Then, copy the extracted .dict and .idx files to ~/Library/weDict/ folder.
