GPSToday is a freeware plug-in for Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices that, at the most basic level, automatically obtains GPS fixes from a satellite. Before you can actually use your GPS receiver for navigation you must first obtain a fix on your current position. Apart from that it offers other features such as displaying your current physical location with full street address, distance to the nearest contact in your address book from your current location, etc.
