Ovi Sync is a free service by Nokia that allows you to backup and synchronize calendar, contacts and notes from Nokia S60 to Ovi Beta. You can then use the web or mobile version of Ovi to manage synchronisation, devices, accounts, and search and the use other Ovi services such as widgets, games, files.

To sync your mobile device with Ovi, You first need to add your device to Ovi.com and save the synchronisation settings you receive via SMS on your mobile.

To start the sync from your device:

+ Open the Sync application on your mobile device. For the location, see the user guide or in-device help of your device.
+ Select Ovi.com as the synchronisation profile and Options > Synchronise.

The next time you sign in to Ovi after syncing your device, the Ovi homepage displays your upcoming calendar events and recently added contacts.

If you lose calendar or contacts information on your mobile device, you can restore the information on Ovi back to your device. To do so, perform the following steps:

1) Sign in to Ovi
2) Click Manage your device in the Your device area on the home page
3) Click Restore device next to the device whose information you want to restore
4) Click Restore device button and then the Yes button in the confirmation window.
5) Initiate the sync from your device.
