Google has introduced two new features in Google Maps for Mobile - Street View and Walking Directions. Like Google Maps on your PC, you can now view street level imagery of addresses in some locations, business reviews, and walking directions with turns on your mobile device.

To use this feature, select “Street View” from the address page of a search result or just click on the map. You can also see Street View while finding directions. Once the street view image appears, you can rotate left and right by using your phone’s navigation keys or trackball. To move up and down a street, rotate the view until an indicator arrow appears, then use your phone’s up arrow key or trackball to move to the next street view image. When Street View is displayed as a bubble over the map, you can still zoom in or out on the map or switch to satellite view. You can browse Street View overlaid on the map or in full screen. To switch to full screen Street View, use “Expand”. If Street View is unavailable in a particular location, the “Street View” link won’t appear.
The newest Google Maps for mobile is available for BlackBerry and other Java-enabled mobile devices. To download it onto your phone, visit google.com/gmm from your mobile phone web browser.
