The next version of Office Mobile 2010 will be released concurrently with the final release of Office 2010. Office Mobile 2010 will feature the following productivity applications - Excel Mobile 2010, OneNote Mobile 2010, Outlook Mobile 2010, Powerpoint Mobile 2010, Sharepoint Workspace Mobile 2010 and Word Mobile 2010.
Here are some of the key features of Office Mobile 2010 for Windows Mobile smartphone devices:
- Create, edit and save Microsoft Office documents from your Smartphone.
- Find people in your organization from your phone by searching your global address list.
- Online access to your e-mail, calendar, contacts and tasks from anywhere, any time.
- Essential authoring capabilities include tables, bullets and font styles.
- Auto Correct and background spelling checker.
New features include:
- Conversation View in Outlook Mobile 2010 allows you to save time by combining related messages so they can be moved, categorized or deleted in a single click.
- Browse SharePoint sites, document libraries and other lists from your Smartphone.
- Open documents directly from SharePoint 2010 or Windows Live workspaces for viewing or editing, and save them directly back to the server.
- Sync documents on your Smartphone — when a document is modified on the server, the copy on your Smartphone gets synced automatically.
- Communicator Mobile integration
Office Mobile 2010 will not be included in Office 2010 applications, suites, or Web Apps but will be pre-installed on mobile devices only through the OEM.
