While browsing Internet Explorer Mobile in Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC through a Desktop Passthrough internet connection, you may get an error 0×80072f78: Cannot locate page.
Try uninstallling Activesync 4.2 or 4.5 Beta and reinstall Activesync 4.1. This has been reported to solve the problem.

Sometimes the Windows device manager recognizes the Windows Mobile adapter but Activesync does not recognize the device. In that case, go to Start—>Control Panel—>Network Connections. If you get an error: Synchronization failed with non-Outlook items (and if Outlook items like contacts sync fine) in Activesync 4.1 with a Windows Mobile 5.0 device, then are two things you might want to try out:
1) Delete Activesync partnership from desktop and device and then recreate the partnership

Some Activesync 4.1 users have reported an error as soon as the Windows Mobile 5 device is cradled: : “Activesync Connection Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close”
This happens if Winsock is corrupted on the computer
